UnitedHealthcare
Helping people better understand and use their benefits
Art Direction and Design

Navigating healthcare is often confusing and fragmented, with members frequently unaware of available benefits or unsure how and when to take action. Across a range of UnitedHealthcare clients, we identified an opportunity to simplify communication and create clearer pathways to care.
A series of targeted campaigns launched across the member journey, promoting preventive care, chronic condition management, mental health resources and everyday wellness programs. Together, they unified disconnected offerings and positioned UnitedHealthcare as a more approachable, supportive partner in members’ health.
Member Engagement Campaign
Care, Simplified
This project expanded an existing concierge care campaign into a cohesive, multi-channel experience to increase awareness and usage. Using a consistent illustrated visual style, it simplified complex healthcare service messaging. Deliverables included mailers, emails, a landing page refresh, and onsite materials in English and Spanish for accessibility. The work focused on building trust, highlighting the no-cost benefit, and helping members make informed healthcare decisions.
ER Diversion Campaign
Hurt and Confused
We developed an internal healthcare campaign to guide employees to appropriate care options. Using the “Hurt and Confused” concept, it simplified complex healthcare decisions into actionable messaging. Deliverables included an onsite poster and targeted mailers on ER misuse and new hires, creating a cohesive system for quick care navigation and understanding.
Employee Wellness Campaign
Power Up
We refreshed an internal “Power Up” campaign to better engage employees with health and wellness resources. Key touchpoints like the website, email, posters, and print collateral were redesigned for clarity, accessibility, and information flow. The website was repositioned as a centralized, user-friendly hub for benefits and resources, supporting employees and onsite specialists.
